I have a great idea for a book. Can you write it?

Alas, ideas are not the bottleneck I worry about. My primary concern is writing down the ideas that I already have in what time I have left. However, I will always encourage you to try writing a few sentences and see what happens. You might just be inspired to keep going!

Will you attend my convention/event?

I am open to attending events, provided they work with my schedule. Let me know what you have in mind.

Will you do a signing in my city?

I currently have no plans to tour outside the San Francisco Bay Area. Should a tour become economically and logistically feasible, I would love to hear which cities make the most sense to visit.

What is your fan fiction/fan art policy?

I do not have a policy, as I believe that once my book is out the door, it is for the world to do with as they will. If my work inspires you to create, create!

Will you write a publicity blurb for my novel?

If I think the novel is in my wheelhouse, yes. Contact me through my email form to set up the details.

What is the GIAB Portal?

The GIAB, or "Galactic Information and Assessment Bureau" is a government agency from my novel Weapons of the Mind. It is tasked with obtaining, storing, and analyzing a galaxy's worth of knowledge and data. Although these files are usually classified, the GIAB Portal is an opportunity to take a small glance at selected fragments of the agency's vast archive.

When Paul and I brainstormed the Weapons of the Mind universe, we thought up document after document of world-building details that we used to inform our understanding of Tala's galaxy, but that would never make it into the novel itself. The GIAB Portal is a chance to peek at some of these details. If you're lucky, you might find information relevant to future projects.

The Portal itself contains over four hundred unique entries, one of which is chosen at random whenever you click or press the "hologram" atop the pedestal. Additional functionality may be added in the future depending on my free time and whether my technological expertise matches my ambition.

Can you put some facts about in the GIAB portal?

It may already be there. The GIAB portal contains far more information than is feasible for one person to obtain. Engage with the community and see what information has been collectively discovered!

While that goes against the spirit of the GIAB portal, I admire your ingenuity. By its very nature, the GIAB portal will never be as comprehensive as it could be. Furthermore, some topics are off-limits in order to preserve surprises for future Renegades novels.

However, if I have made a glaring omission that you simply must know more about, please let me know and I may add entries to the GIAB portal accordingly. I will also directly reply to you with the entries so that you don’t have to go searching through the portal for your answers.
